J.D. Brookshire in Global Gay

Longtime MCS actor, J.D. Brookshire, will be performing in the U.S. premier of GLOBAL GAY. Over the summer, La MaMa will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising with “Global Gay,” a play by Salvino Raco about the plight of L.G.B.T. communities outside Europe and North America.Based on a book by French author/journalist Frédéric Martel, Global Gay is a compelling dramatization of the cruelty facing queer people around the world by state-sanctioned methods as well as deeply rooted cultural norms.
